The Origin of Music

It has been said by scientists that the oldest intrument ever found was in 1995 in a cave in slovania. It was said that it was 60,000-43,000 years old. This instrument was a flute named Divje Babe flute. It was also said that way before, like years before that the musical culture helps us a lot throughout the years.

The Music in the 1940's

The music in the 1940's was culturally popular in their original countries. The following types of music that dominated the world back then were....

Swing music- a type of jazz music
Jazz music- music genre originated in new orleans and can be recognized as a form of musical expression, like for example blues
Latin music- music originating from spanish and portuguese speaking countries
Country music- a.k.a country, western or hillbilly music

music in the 60's

During the 1960's te music trending throughout North America and Europe was pop and rock. Later on throughout the years funk and soul music started to become popular.

Music in the 80"s

During the 80's the genres popular were pop which included Madonna and Michael Jackson. Hip hop was another genre that was becoming popular along with hair metal. Hair Metal is also known as Heavy Metal and some artists who played Hair Metal were Guns n' roses, Metallica, and Bon Jovi.

Modern music today

Modern music today is culturally diverse and we can listen to anything that we want to hear. In my opinion music has came a long way and it's good that we are slowly expanding our knowledge of music and should appreciate music itself and the artists, songwritters, producers, and etc.
